योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-98, verse-21

स्थूलदोषं त्वनिर्वाणं शनैः परिहरेत्क्रमात् ।
याति रम्यमरम्यत्वं स्थिरमस्थिरतामपि ॥ २१ ॥
sthūladoṣaṃ tvanirvāṇaṃ śanaiḥ pariharetkramāt ,
yāti ramyamaramyatvaṃ sthiramasthiratāmapi 21
21. sthūladoṣam tu anirvāṇam śanaiḥ pariharet kramāt
yāti ramyam aramyatvam sthiram asthiratām api
21. tu sthūladoṣam anirvāṇam śanaiḥ kramāt pariharet
ramyam aramyatvam yāti sthiram api asthiratām
21. But one should gradually avoid a gross, unextinguished (anirvāṇa) fault. For the beautiful becomes unpleasant, and the stable even unstable.
