योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-98, verse-22

यथा दृष्टं तथा मन्ये याति साधुरसाधुताम् ।
एष सोऽत्यन्त उत्पातो यः साधुर्याति दुष्टताम् ॥ २२ ॥
yathā dṛṣṭaṃ tathā manye yāti sādhurasādhutām ,
eṣa so'tyanta utpāto yaḥ sādhuryāti duṣṭatām 22
22. yathā dṛṣṭam tathā manye yāti sādhuḥ asādhutām
eṣaḥ saḥ atyantaḥ utpātaḥ yaḥ sādhuḥ yāti duṣṭatām
22. yathā dṛṣṭam tathā manye sādhuḥ asādhutām yāti
eṣaḥ saḥ atyantaḥ utpātaḥ yaḥ sādhuḥ duṣṭatām yāti
22. As has been seen, so I believe, a good person becomes unvirtuous. This is indeed an extreme calamity (utpāta), that a good person becomes wicked.
