कथं तपत्यहोऽदिक्कं सर्गस्यादौ परत्र च ।
कथं भित्त्या विना भाति वद दीपप्रभा मुने ॥ ४ ॥

kathaṃ bhittyā vinā bhāti vada dīpaprabhā mune 4

4. Śrī Rāma said: O sage, how does this unmanifest (adikka) [world] shine forth at the beginning of creation and beyond? How does the light of a lamp appear without a wall (bhitti)?
