योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-158, verse-11

उद्वेगादथ बद्ध्वासौ प्राणरेचनधारणाम् ।
प्राणांस्तत्याज नभसि शवीभूतमधोवपुः ॥ ११ ॥
udvegādatha baddhvāsau prāṇarecanadhāraṇām ,
prāṇāṃstatyāja nabhasi śavībhūtamadhovapuḥ 11
11. udvegāt atha baddhvā asau prāṇarecanadhāraṇām
prāṇān tatyāja nabhasi śavībhūtam adhovapuḥ
11. atha asau udvegāt prāṇarecanadhāraṇām baddhvā nabhasi prāṇān tatyāja,
adhovapuḥ śavībhūtam [abhavat]
11. Then, driven by that distress (udvega), he performed the practice of breath exhalation (prāṇarecanadhāraṇā) and released his vital breaths (prāṇa) into the sky, his lower body having become like a corpse.
