अथ दीर्घेण कालेन यदा विद्याभ्रमस्य सः ।
अन्तं न समवाप्नोति तत्रोद्वेगमुपाययौ ॥ १० ॥

Then, when he could not reach the end of this illusion of knowledge (vidyābhrama) even after a long time, he was overcome with distress (udvega).
