योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-6, chapter-76, verse-8

तत्तत्पालयितुं राज्यं प्रसादं कर्तुमर्हसि ।
अप्रार्थितोपयातानां त्यागोऽर्थानां च नोचितः ॥ ८ ॥
tattatpālayituṃ rājyaṃ prasādaṃ kartumarhasi ,
aprārthitopayātānāṃ tyāgo'rthānāṃ ca nocitaḥ 8
8. tat tat pālayitum rājyam prasādam kartum arhasi
aprārthitopayātānām tyāgaḥ arthānām ca na ucitaḥ
8. tat tat rājyam pālayitum prasādam kartum arhasi
ca aprārthitopayātānām arthānām tyāgaḥ na ucitaḥ
8. You ought to show your grace by protecting that very kingdom. Furthermore, it is not proper to abandon the interests of those who have come to you unasked.
