prāk aham tādṛk tṛṣṇānigaḍayantritaḥ kaḥ abhavam? iti antarātmānam eva vikāsavān vihasāmi.

Who was I formerly, so completely bound by the fetters of craving (tṛṣṇā)? Reflecting thus, I now laugh with a blossoming awareness at that very inner Self (antarātman).
