योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-6, chapter-3, verse-12

रूपालोकमनस्कारान्कुर्वन्नपि न किंचन ।
ज्ञः करोत्यनुपादेयान्न ज्ञस्यैव हि कर्तृता ॥ १२ ॥
rūpālokamanaskārānkurvannapi na kiṃcana ,
jñaḥ karotyanupādeyānna jñasyaiva hi kartṛtā 12

12. Even while engaging in the perception of forms and mental impressions, the knower (jña) does not do anything at all, because these are not things to be grasped. For indeed, doership does not belong to the knower (jña).
