But if this (visible world) is non-existent (asat) and you (the self) are existent (sat), O wise one (sundara), even then, what kind of association (saṅga) can there be between the existent and the non-existent? Tell me, what is the nature of the connection between the mortal (martya) and the individual soul (jīva)?
