योगवासिष्ठः yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-3, chapter-11, verse-8

यथा सौवर्णकटके दृश्यमानमिदं स्फुटम् ।
कटकत्वं तु नैवास्ति जगत्त्वं न तथा परे ॥ ८ ॥

yathā sauvarṇakaṭake dṛśyamānamidaṃ sphuṭam ,
kaṭakatvaṃ tu naivāsti jagattvaṃ na tathā pare 8

8. The appearance of the world, is compared with that of a bracelet, because the one is as false as the other, and neither of them is real.
