असदेव सदा भाति जगत्सर्वात्मकं यथा ।
श्रृण्वहं कथया राम दीर्घया कथयामि ते ॥ २८ ॥

Śrī Vasiṣṭha said: O Rāma, listen! I will tell you a long narrative, just as the non-existent world (jagat) always appears as if it is the all-pervading Self (ātman).
