गुरुः पिता मे राजेन्द्र त्वं च शिष्यो महात्मनः ।
व्यसनं सुमहत् क्रुद्धः स ते दद्यान्महातपाः ॥९॥
9. guruḥ pitā me rājendra tvaṃ ca śiṣyo mahātmanaḥ ,
vyasanaṃ sumahat kruddhaḥ sa te dadyānmahātapāḥ.

9. O king of kings, my father is a preceptor (guru), and you are the disciple of a great-souled one (mahātman). Should he become enraged, that great ascetic (mahātapaḥ) could inflict upon you a very great misfortune.
