कथं च धर्मार्थविनीतबुद्धिः परावरप्रत्ययनिश्चितार्थः ।
भवद्विधः कोपवशे हि तिष्ठेत् कोपं नियच्छन्ति हि सत्त्ववन्तः ॥८॥
8. kathaṃ ca dharmārthavinītabuddhiḥ parāvarapratyayaniścitārthaḥ ,
bhavadvidhaḥ kopavaśe hi tiṣṭhet kopaṃ niyacchanti hi sattvavantaḥ.

8. How then could someone like you, whose intellect is disciplined by the principles of natural law (dharma) and proper aim, and who has a firm understanding of both superior and inferior truths, possibly remain under the sway of anger? Indeed, truly strong-willed individuals restrain their anger.
