वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-1, chapter-34, verse-17

प्रतिगृह्य त्रिलोकार्थं त्रिलोकहितकारिणः ।
गङ्गामादाय ते ऽगच्छन् कृतार्थेनान्तरात्मना ॥१७॥
17. pratigṛhya trilokārthaṃ trilokahitakāriṇaḥ ,
gaṅgāmādāya te'gacchan kṛtārthenāntarātmanā.

gaṅgām ādāya te agacchan kṛtārthena antarātmanā

17. Having accepted Gaṅgā for the purpose of the three worlds, those benefactors of the three worlds (the gods), taking Gaṅgā, departed with their inner self (antarātman) satisfied.
