O best among the twice-born (dvija-sattama)! On the day that is equal to the desired solar degree from the moment of the Sun's ingress (saṅkrānti) into a new sign, the Sun's position at sunrise should be calculated, and also the difference between that (calculated) Sun and the desired Sun's position.
