मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-73, verse-7

तेषामिन्द्रो महाभागस्त्रैलोक्ये स गुरुर्भवेत् ।
शतं क्रतूनामाहृत्य सुशान्तिर्नाम नामतः ॥७॥
7. teṣāmindro mahābhāgastrailokye sa gururbhavet .
śataṃ kratūnāmāhṛtya suśāntirnāma nāmataḥ.
7. teṣām indraḥ mahābhāgaḥ trailokye saḥ guruḥ bhavet
śatam kratūnām āhṛtya suśāntiḥ nāma nāmataḥ
7. Among them, that highly fortunate Indra, having performed one hundred Vedic rituals (yajña), would be the preceptor in the three worlds. He is named Suśānti.
