महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-5, verse-11

त्रसानां खलु सर्वेषां श्रेष्ठा राजञ्जरायुजाः ।
जरायुजानां प्रवरा मानवाः पशवश्च ये ॥११॥
11. trasānāṁ khalu sarveṣāṁ śreṣṭhā rājañjarāyujāḥ ,
jarāyujānāṁ pravarā mānavāḥ paśavaśca ye.

11. Indeed, O King, among all moving beings, the womb-born are the best. Among the womb-born, humans and animals are considered the most prominent.
