महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-21, verse-9

एतमेवार्थमाश्रित्य युद्धे देवासुरेऽब्रवीत् ।
पितामहः किल पुरा महेन्द्रादीन्दिवौकसः ॥९॥
9. etamevārthamāśritya yuddhe devāsure'bravīt ,
pitāmahaḥ kila purā mahendrādīndivaukasaḥ.

pitāmahaḥ kila purā mahendrādīn divaukasaḥ

9. Indeed, in ancient times, the Grandfather (Brahmā), taking this very subject matter as his basis, spoke to Mahendra (Indra) and the other gods (divaukasaḥ) during the battle between the gods and asuras.
