महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-55, verse-14

कल्माषाङ्गास्तित्तिरिचित्रपृष्ठा भ्रात्रा दत्ताः प्रीयता फल्गुनेन ।
भ्रातुर्वीरस्य स्वैस्तुरंगैर्विशिष्टा मुदा युक्ताः सहदेवं वहन्ति ॥१४॥
14. kalmāṣāṅgāstittiricitrapṛṣṭhā; bhrātrā dattāḥ prīyatā phalgunena ,
bhrāturvīrasya svaisturaṁgairviśiṣṭā; mudā yuktāḥ sahadevaṁ vahanti.

14. Dappled-bodied horses with backs marked like partridges were given by the pleased brother Arjuna. Distinguished as the heroic brother's own steeds, they joyfully carry Sahadeva.
