महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-182, verse-16

यथा रामो बाणजालाभितप्तस्तथैवाहं सुभृशं गाढविद्धः ।
ततो युद्धं व्यरमच्चापराह्णे भानावस्तं प्रार्थयाने महीध्रम् ॥१६॥
16. yathā rāmo bāṇajālābhitapta;stathaivāhaṁ subhṛśaṁ gāḍhaviddhaḥ ,
tato yuddhaṁ vyaramaccāparāhṇe; bhānāvastaṁ prārthayāne mahīdhram.

eva aham subhṛśam gāḍhaviddhaḥ
tatas yuddham vyaramat ca aparāhṇe

16. Just as Rāma [Paraśurāma] was scorched by a net of arrows, so too was I deeply pierced. Then the battle (yuddha) ceased in the afternoon, as the sun was seeking the western mountain.
