महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-182, verse-10

ततोऽपरा जामदग्न्यो महात्मा शक्तीर्घोराः प्राक्षिपद्धेमदण्डाः ।
विचित्रिताः काञ्चनपट्टनद्धा यथा महोल्का ज्वलितास्तथा ताः ॥१०॥
10. tato'parā jāmadagnyo mahātmā; śaktīrghorāḥ prākṣipaddhemadaṇḍāḥ ,
vicitritāḥ kāñcanapaṭṭanaddhā; yathā maholkā jvalitāstathā tāḥ.

10. Then the other great-souled son of Jamadagni (Paraśurāma) hurled dreadful missile-weapons (śakti) with golden shafts. They were adorned, bound with golden bands, and blazed like great meteors.
