नारद उवाच ।
तथेत्युक्त्वा द्विजश्रेष्ठः प्रादात्कन्यां महीपतेः ।
विधिपूर्वं च तां राजा कन्यां प्रतिगृहीतवान् ॥७॥

7. nārada uvāca ,

vidhipūrvaṁ ca tāṁ rājā kanyāṁ pratigṛhītavān.

Narada said: Having agreed with 'So be it', the foremost among the twice-born (dvijaśreṣṭha) gave the maiden to the king. And the king, in accordance with ritual (vidhi), accepted that maiden.
