महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-4, chapter-2, verse-1

भीम उवाच ।
पौरोगवो ब्रुवाणोऽहं बल्लवो नाम नामतः ।
उपस्थास्यामि राजानं विराटमिति मे मतिः ॥१॥
1. bhīma uvāca ,
paurogavo bruvāṇo'haṁ ballavo nāma nāmataḥ ,
upasthāsyāmi rājānaṁ virāṭamiti me matiḥ.
1. bhīmaḥ uvāca pauragavaḥ bruvāṇaḥ ahaṃ ballavaḥ nāma
nāmataḥ upasthāsyāmi rājānaṃ virāṭaṃ iti me matiḥ
1. Bhīma said: 'I will declare myself as Ballava by name, the chief cook. I will serve King Virāṭa; this is my intention (mati).'
