महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-101, verse-13

तेऽभिगम्य महात्मानं मैत्रावरुणिमच्युतम् ।
आश्रमस्थं तपोराशिं कर्मभिः स्वैरभिष्टुवन् ॥१३॥
13. te'bhigamya mahātmānaṁ maitrāvaruṇimacyutam ,
āśramasthaṁ taporāśiṁ karmabhiḥ svairabhiṣṭuvan.
13. te abhigamya mahātmānam maitrāvaruṇim acyutam
āśramastham tapaḥrāśim karmabhiḥ svaiḥ abhiṣṭuvan
13. Having approached the great-souled, unswerving son of Mitra and Varuṇa (Agastya), who resided in his hermitage and was a great accumulation of asceticism (tapas), they praised him with their own appropriate actions (karma).
