महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-15, chapter-20, verse-9

शते देये दशशतं सहस्रे चायुतं तथा ।
दीयते वचनाद्राज्ञः कुन्तीपुत्रस्य धीमतः ॥९॥

9. When a hundred is to be given, a thousand is given; and when a thousand, ten thousand, in the same way. This is granted by the command of the wise king, the son of Kuntī.
