16.
Whatever righteous action (dharma) one performs, and whatever meritorious fruit (puṇyaphalam) results from it, the giver (dātā) becomes a sharer (aṃśabhāk) in all of it. For that very reason, such activities (pravṛttayaḥ) are undertaken.
