महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-51, verse-11

न ह्यभक्ताय राजेन्द्र भक्तायानृजवे न च ।
दर्शयाम्यहमात्मानं न चादान्ताय भारत ॥११॥
11. na hyabhaktāya rājendra bhaktāyānṛjave na ca ,
darśayāmyahamātmānaṁ na cādāntāya bhārata.
11. na hi abhaktāya rājendra bhaktāya anṛjave na ca
darśayāmi aham ātmānam na ca adāntāya bhārata
11. rājeñdra bhārata hi aham ātmānam abhaktāya na darśayāmi
ca anṛjave bhaktāya na ca adāntāya na (darśayāmi)
11. Indeed, O king among kings (Rajendra), O Bhārata, I do not reveal myself (ātman) to one who lacks devotion (bhakti), nor to a devotee (bhakta) who is not straightforward, nor to one who is not self-controlled.
