महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-256, verse-7

श्रद्धावृद्धं वाङ्मनसी न यज्ञस्त्रातुमर्हति ।
अत्र गाथा ब्रह्मगीताः कीर्तयन्ति पुराविदः ॥७॥
7. śraddhāvṛddhaṁ vāṅmanasī na yajñastrātumarhati ,
atra gāthā brahmagītāḥ kīrtayanti purāvidaḥ.

7. Speech and mind, truly augmented by faith (śraddhā), cannot be saved by a mere ritual (yajña). In this regard, ancient scholars (purāvidaḥ) recite verses (gāthāḥ) sung by Brahman (brahman).
