महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-196, verse-21

यथा चन्द्रार्कसंयुक्तं तमस्तदुपलभ्यते ।
तद्वच्छरीरसंयुक्तः शरीरीत्युपलभ्यते ॥२१॥
21. yathā candrārkasaṁyuktaṁ tamastadupalabhyate ,
tadvaccharīrasaṁyuktaḥ śarīrītyupalabhyate.

tadvat śarīrasaṃyuktaḥ śarīrī iti upalabhyate
21. yathā candraarkasaṃyuktam tamaḥ tat upalabhyate,

21. Just as darkness (Rāhu) is perceived when it is conjoined with the moon and sun, similarly, the embodied soul (śarīrin) is perceived when conjoined with the body.
