महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-66, verse-13

शरीरकृत्प्राणदाता यस्य चान्नानि भुञ्जते ।
क्रमेण ते त्रयोऽप्युक्ताः पितरो धर्मनिश्चये ॥१३॥
13. śarīrakṛtprāṇadātā yasya cānnāni bhuñjate ,
krameṇa te trayo'pyuktāḥ pitaro dharmaniścaye.
13. śarīrakṛt prāṇadātā yasya ca annāni bhuñjate
krameṇa te trayaḥ api uktāḥ pitaraḥ dharmaniścaye
13. The one who creates the body, the one who gives life, and the one whose food is consumed — these three are successively declared to be fathers in the determination of dharma.
