महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-19, verse-3

ददृशाते तदा तत्र समुद्रं निधिमम्भसाम् ।
तिमिंगिलझषाकीर्णं मकरैरावृतं तथा ॥३॥
3. dadṛśāte tadā tatra samudraṁ nidhimambhasām ,
timiṁgilajhaṣākīrṇaṁ makarairāvṛtaṁ tathā.

timingilajhaṣākīrṇam makaraiḥ āvṛtam tathā
3. At that time, they both saw the ocean there, a vast reservoir of waters, teeming with whales and fish, and also covered with crocodiles.
