महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-19, verse-17

इत्येवं झषमकरोर्मिसंकुलं तं गम्भीरं विकसितमम्बरप्रकाशम् ।
पातालज्वलनशिखाविदीपितं तं पश्यन्त्यौ द्रुतमभिपेततुस्तदानीम् ॥१७॥
17. ityevaṁ jhaṣamakarormisaṁkulaṁ taṁ; gambhīraṁ vikasitamambaraprakāśam ,
pātālajvalanaśikhāvidīpitaṁ taṁ; paśyantyau drutamabhipetatustadānīm.

17. Thus, seeing that deep, vast, and sky-radiant ocean — teeming with fish, crocodiles, and waves, and illuminated by the flames of the netherworld — those two then quickly approached it.
