योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-179, verse-8

न कारणं विना कार्यं भवतीत्युपपद्यते ।
यद्यथा येन निर्णीतं तत्तथा तेन लक्ष्यते ॥ ८ ॥
na kāraṇaṃ vinā kāryaṃ bhavatītyupapadyate ,
yadyathā yena nirṇītaṃ tattathā tena lakṣyate 8
8. na kāraṇam vinā kāryam bhavati iti upapadyate
yat yathā yena nirṇītam tat tathā tena lakṣyate
8. kāryam kāraṇam vinā na bhavati iti upapadyate.
yat yena yathā nirṇītam,
tat tena tathā lakṣyate.
