एकः सहस्रं भवति यथा ह्येते किलैन्दवाः ।
प्रयाता भूतलक्षत्वं संकल्पजगतां गणैः ॥ १२ ॥

Just as these moonbeams, by means of the multitudes of worlds created by imagination (saṅkalpa), become a hundred thousand on earth, similarly, one (single entity) becomes a thousand.
