योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-5, chapter-87, verse-15

निरानन्दोऽपि सानन्दः सच्चासच्चापि तत्र सः ।
आसीन्न किंचित्किंचित्तत्प्रकाशस्तिमिरं यथा ॥ १५ ॥
nirānando'pi sānandaḥ saccāsaccāpi tatra saḥ ,
āsīnna kiṃcitkiṃcittatprakāśastimiraṃ yathā 15
15. nirānandaḥ api sānandaḥ sat ca asat ca api tatra saḥ
| āsīt na kiñcit kiñcit tat prakāśaḥ timiram yathā ||
15. tatra saḥ nirānandaḥ api sānandaḥ,
sat ca asat ca api āsīt.

15. In that state (turya), he was both devoid of joy and yet full of joy, both existent and non-existent. It was not nothing, yet it was something, like light and darkness.
