तां तृष्णां शृङ्खलां विद्धि कलनां च महामते ॥ ७ ॥

O Rāghava, O great-minded one, know that this inner thought, 'Let this be mine'—this very craving (tṛṣṇā) and mental clinging (kalanā)—is a chain.
