मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-83, verse-5

स च्छिन्नधन्वा विरथो हताश्वो हतसारथिः ।
अभ्यधावत तां देवीं खड्ग-चर्मधरोऽसुरः ॥५॥
5. sa cchinnadhanvā viratho hatāśvo hatasārathiḥ .
abhyadhāvata tāṃ devīṃ khaḍga-carmadharo'suraḥ.
5. saḥ chinna-dhanvā virathaḥ hata-aśvaḥ hata-sārathiḥ
abhi adhāvat tām devīm khaḍga-carma-dharaḥ asuraḥ
5. With his bow cut, his chariot destroyed, his horses slain, and his charioteer killed, that demon, holding a sword and shield, rushed towards the goddess.
