मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-83, verse-14

युधायमानो ततस्तौ तु तस्मान्नागान्महीं गतौ ।
युयुधातेऽतिसंरब्धौ प्रहारैरतिदारुणैः ॥१४॥
14. yudhāyamāno tatastau tu tasmānnāgānmahīṃ gatau .
yuyudhāte'tisaṃrabdhau prahārairatidāruṇaiḥ.
14. yudhāyamānau tataḥ tau tu tasmāt nāgāt mahīm gatau
yuyudhāte ati saṃrabdhau prahāraiḥ ati dāruṇaiḥ
14. Then, while fighting, those two descended from the elephant to the ground. Extremely enraged, they fought with exceedingly dreadful blows.
