महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-52, verse-9

यदा तु तपसोग्रेण चकर्ष वसुधां नृपः ।
ततः शक्रोऽब्रवीद्देवान्राजर्षेर्यच्चिकीर्षितम् ॥९॥
9. yadā tu tapasogreṇa cakarṣa vasudhāṁ nṛpaḥ ,
tataḥ śakro'bravīddevānrājarṣeryaccikīrṣitam.
9. yadā tu tapasa ugreṇa cakarṣa vasudhām nṛpaḥ
tataḥ śakraḥ abravīt devān rājarṣeḥ yat cikirṣitam
9. yadā tu nṛpaḥ ugreṇa tapasā vasudhām cakarṣa
tataḥ śakraḥ devān rājarṣeḥ yat cikirṣitam abravīt
9. But when the king cultivated the earth through severe ascetic practice (tapas), then Indra (Śakra) informed the gods of the royal sage's (rājarṣi) intention.
