महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-52, verse-19

सुरर्षभा ब्राह्मणसत्तमाश्च तथा नृगाद्या नरदेवमुख्याः ।
इष्ट्वा महार्हैः क्रतुभिर्नृसिंह संन्यस्य देहान्सुगतिं प्रपन्नाः ॥१९॥
19. surarṣabhā brāhmaṇasattamāśca; tathā nṛgādyā naradevamukhyāḥ ,
iṣṭvā mahārhaiḥ kratubhirnṛsiṁha; saṁnyasya dehānsugatiṁ prapannāḥ.

19. O Nṛsiṃha, the foremost among the gods, the best among Brahmins, and similarly prominent human kings like Nṛga and others, having performed great sacrifices (yajñas), attained a good destination after renouncing their bodies.
