महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-48, verse-10

तुल्यो महात्मा तव कुन्ति पुत्रो जातोऽदितेर्विष्णुरिवारिहन्ता ।
स्वेषां जयाय द्विषतां वधाय ख्यातोऽमितौजाः कुलतन्तुकर्ता ॥१०॥
10. tulyo mahātmā tava kunti putro; jāto'diterviṣṇurivārihantā ,
sveṣāṁ jayāya dviṣatāṁ vadhāya; khyāto'mitaujāḥ kulatantukartā.

jātaḥ aditeḥ viṣṇuḥ iva arihantā
| sveṣām jayāya dviṣatām vadhāya

10. Kunti,
tava mahātmā putraḥ aditeḥ viṣṇuḥ iva arihantā jātaḥ tulyaḥ (asti).
sveṣām jayāya dviṣatām vadhāya khyātaḥ amitaujāḥ kulatantukartā (ca asti).
10. O Kunti, your great-souled (mahātman) son, born like Vishnu to Aditi, is a slayer of enemies, equal to all these qualities. Renowned for his immeasurable might, he brings victory to his own people, destruction to his foes, and upholds the family lineage.
