महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-28, verse-9

सुहृन्मित्रार्युदासीनमध्यस्थद्वेष्यबन्धुषु ।
साधुष्वपि च पापेषु समबुद्धिर्विशिष्यते ॥९॥
9. suhṛnmitrāryudāsīnamadhyasthadveṣyabandhuṣu ,
sādhuṣvapi ca pāpeṣu samabuddhirviśiṣyate.

9. Superior is one who possesses an equal (sama) disposition towards well-wishers, friends, enemies, those who are neutral, mediators, those who are hateful, and relatives, as well as towards the virtuous and the sinful.
