महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-64, verse-8

ये चाप्यन्ये पार्थिवास्तत्र योद्धुं समागताः कौरवाणां प्रियार्थम् ।
मुमूर्षवः पाण्डवाग्नौ प्रदीप्ते समानीता धार्तराष्ट्रेण सूत ॥८॥
8. ye cāpyanye pārthivāstatra yoddhuṁ; samāgatāḥ kauravāṇāṁ priyārtham ,
mumūrṣavaḥ pāṇḍavāgnau pradīpte; samānītā dhārtarāṣṭreṇa sūta.
8. ye ca api anye pārthivāḥ tatra
yoddhum samāgatāḥ kauravāṇām priyārtham
mumūrṣavaḥ pāṇḍavāgnau pradīpte
samānītāḥ dhārtarāṣṭreṇa sūta
8. O Sūta, those other kings who have gathered there to fight for the sake of the Kauravas have been brought by Dhṛtarāṣṭra's son (Duryodhana) as if desiring to die in the blazing fire of the Pāṇḍavas.
