महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-24, verse-7

पितेव पुत्रेषु स तेषु भावं चक्रे कुरूणामृषभो महात्मा ।
ते चापि तस्मिन्भरतप्रबर्हे तदा बभूवुः पितरीव पुत्राः ॥७॥
7. piteva putreṣu sa teṣu bhāvaṁ; cakre kurūṇāmṛṣabho mahātmā ,
te cāpi tasminbharataprabarhe; tadā babhūvuḥ pitarīva putrāḥ.
7. pitā iva putreṣu saḥ teṣu bhāvam
cakre kurūṇām ṛṣabhaḥ mahātmā
te ca api tasmin bharataprabarhe
tadā babhūvuḥ pitari iva putrāḥ
7. That great-souled best of the Kurus (ṛṣabha) showed an attitude (bhāva) towards them like a father towards his sons. And they, in turn, became like sons to that best of Bharatas (bharataprabarha), like sons to a father.
