महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-216, verse-11

दह्यमानाः प्रपन्नास्ते शरणं पावकात्मजम् ।
देवा वज्रधरं त्यक्त्वा ततः शान्तिमुपागताः ॥११॥
11. dahyamānāḥ prapannāste śaraṇaṁ pāvakātmajam ,
devā vajradharaṁ tyaktvā tataḥ śāntimupāgatāḥ.
11. dahyamānāḥ prapannāḥ te śaraṇam pāvakātmajam
devāḥ vajradharam tyaktvā tataḥ śāntim upāgatāḥ
11. While burning, those gods abandoned the thunderbolt-bearer (vajradharam) and took refuge (śaraṇam) in the son of Agni (pāvakātmajam); consequently, they attained peace.
