महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-269, verse-7

प्रदक्षिणं प्रसव्यं च ग्राममध्ये न चाचरेत् ।
भैक्षचर्यामनापन्नो न गच्छेत्पूर्वकेतितः ॥७॥
7. pradakṣiṇaṁ prasavyaṁ ca grāmamadhye na cācaret ,
bhaikṣacaryāmanāpanno na gacchetpūrvaketitaḥ.

7. One should not perform circumambulation (pradakṣiṇa) or counter-circumambulation (prasavya) in the middle of a village. One who has not embraced the mendicant's practice (bhaikṣacaryā) should not go seeking alms by prior arrangement.
