सर्पाणां सूर्यतप्तानां वारिणा त्वं प्लवो भव ।
त्वमेव परमं त्राणमस्माकममरोत्तम ॥८॥

For these serpents, scorched by the sun, may you become a protector with water (rain). You alone are our supreme refuge, O best among the immortals!
