एवमुक्तास्ततो गत्वा गरुडं वाग्भिरस्तुवन् ।
अदूरादभ्युपेत्यैनं देवाः सर्षिगणास्तदा ॥९॥

9. sūta uvāca ,
evamuktāstato gatvā garuḍaṁ vāgbhirastuvan ,
adūrādabhyupetyainaṁ devāḥ sarṣigaṇāstadā.

Sūta said: "Thus addressed, the gods, accompanied by the sages, then went and, approaching Garuḍa from a short distance, praised him with words."
