महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-148, verse-8

तद्विमोक्षाय ये चापि यतन्ते पुरुषाः क्वचित् ।
सपुत्रदारांस्तान्हत्वा तद्रक्षो भक्षयत्युत ॥८॥

8. tadvimokṣāya ye cāpi yatante puruṣāḥ kvacit ,
saputradārāṁstānhatvā tadrakṣo bhakṣayatyuta.

8. tat vimokṣāya ye ca api yatante puruṣāḥ kvacit
sa-putra-dārān tān hatvā tat rakṣaḥ bhakṣayati uta

8. Even those men (puruṣa) who strive anywhere for deliverance (mokṣa) from that [fate], that demon (rakṣas) kills them along with their sons and wives, and indeed devours them.

8. ואנשים שמנסים אי פעם להשתחרר ממנו, הרָאקְשַׁסַה ההוא הורג אותם יחד עם בניהם ונשותיהם, ואוכל אותם.
