महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-148, verse-1

कुन्त्युवाच ।
कुतोमूलमिदं दुःखं ज्ञातुमिच्छामि तत्त्वतः ।
विदित्वा अपकर्षेयं शक्यं चेदपकर्षितुम् ॥१॥
1. kuntyuvāca ,
kutomūlamidaṁ duḥkhaṁ jñātumicchāmi tattvataḥ ,
viditvā apakarṣeyaṁ śakyaṁ cedapakarṣitum.
1. kuntī uvāca kutaḥ mūlam idam duḥkham jñātum icchāmi
tattvataḥ viditvā apakarṣeyam śakyam cet apakarṣitum
1. Kunti said: 'I wish to know the true nature of this sorrow. If it is possible to eliminate it, I would do so after understanding it.'
